I just signed up for twitter so I'm not sure how it all works. I do know from hosting a class facebook group last year that students love to comment on just about anything even in Spanish. I what I don't understand is the concept of follower and followee. Do I need to make my students follow me so that they can read the questions and observations I pose? Should I also follow each of them? Should they also follow each other? I am already confused. Also, can thousands of other people read our tweets? My students' Spanish is comprehensible but never totally correct. Will this embarrass them if other comment on their Spanish?
I really do want to try this soon. Your thoughts are appreciated.

I have been trying to incorporate this authentic communication - twitter- ina timid way. the seniors with 4 years of Spanish need to post a message in Spanish every day for 2 days in the assigned #. I generally answer with a question that they in turn answer. I also post an address of a blog of interest for the topic we are studying and ask a question about it.
I would like to find more ideas for High School students who do not have a laptop all the time with them. Thank you very much for any contribution

I've started a collaborative spreadsheet for teachers who user Twitter in their schools. This might be helpful to those who are interested in getting started. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0ArEWinLIvaYEdDlyTnVTV3JyX3d3QzhrRkJKd0tnc0E&hl=en
